A native of St. Louis, Missouri, I was raised in Belleville, Illinois, where I attended public elementary and high school.  Studying government and social sciences, I then graduated from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Science.  Soon after graduation, I was able to gain over sixteen years of administrative experience, handling the investment program in the St. Clair County Treasurer’s office.  Upon leaving Illinois, I’ve lived over the years in the states of Nevada, Georgia, and Florida, where I’ve had a successful career in a variety of roles in sales, marketing, and advertising, all of which has served well in my experience with helping and giving advice to small business owners.

It’s going on ten years since my wife Robyn and I moved here to Greenville from the Melbourne, Florida area where we met, for the purpose of being closer to Robyn’s parents, family, and many close friends. Many of them were moving on into their later years, and all, including Robyn, have strong roots in Darke County.

Upon our arrival, I had the pleasure and opportunity to work here in Greenville as an Inventory Analyst at Whirlpool’s KitchenAid Portable Appliance facility for eight and a half years before retiring this past year.  I now enjoy attending the monthly breakfasts of the local Whirlpool Retirees Group.

Since living here, Robyn and I have gained so many good friends and acquaintances through our jobs, church, and throughout the community.  We’ve come to love and appreciate Greenville and everything it has to offer, and have made this our home.

Several years ago, I was encouraged by Mayor Steve Willman, City Auditor Roxanne Willman, and many others in the community to run for Greenville City Council.  Since, I’ve had the opportunity to represent you, and work effectively with everyone on Council and within City government.

I’ve been very active in my participation in community events, as well as having a very strong record of attendance at the meetings of the variety of committees and boards on which I’ve served over the years.  At the heart of it all is my desire for the betterment of our community, and of what’s in the best interest of our future.  I’ve enjoyed this experience tremendously, and want to continue my efforts as the next Mayor.
